Information for our guests

Our venue is outside on a terrace. The terrace where the ceremony is being held is to the West of the entrance. We can only assume that there will be either people or signs helping you to get to the terrace. While checking out the venue we spotted a family of deer. It is a beautiful setting. We couldn’t ask for a better place to start our life together.

Driving directions

So many of our guests are coming from out-of-town. We have included some information on hotels that are near the resort, however if you choose to stay elsewhere, we suggest you ask folks at your hotel how to get to the resort.

Additional information

We are so delighted that you all can be part of our wedding. Colorado in the summer is quite fickle. Please, prepare yourself for all types of weather. In addition, most of you are not going to be used to the altitude, please remember to drink lots of water while you are here.

Our Wedding Party

Matt and I wanted to include most of the people in the wedding that were present the night we met. Therefor, my maid-of-honor, is Rebekah Cisman. I met Beki while away at college in Prescott. Matt has one groomsmen, Sam Teeters. Matt and Sam met in high school while living in Wyoming. After high school Matt and Sam moved to Arizona for college. We are extremely grateful for their love and support they have given us over the years.

Attire and other information

Cheyenne Mountain Resort is an extremely nice hotel and The Country Club is as equally as nice. Due to this we ask that:
Ladies, please wear nice dresses, skirts, or dress pants and coordinating top. Both ceremony and reception are outside, so a light sweater or cover up maybe needed.
Men,we please ask that you wear suits and ties. Please, no jeans or t-shirts.

Things to do in the area

There are many things to do and see while in Colorado Springs. A few things we suggest are: Garden of the Gods, whether you just drive through or get out and walk around, you are surely to be amazed. During the summer months there is at least one farmers market everyday. You might think you don’t need any food, but farmers markets are also a great way to see part of the town or pick up a random souvenir. One of the main reasons Matt and I moved here was because of Old Colorado City, so make sure to check out that cute little town. If you do get to the OCC, then head West and definitely go walk around Manitou Springs. If you feel the need to see the big city, well Denver is only an hour away and Boulder is only about 45 minutes from Denver.

Additional information

Colorado Springs is fairly easy to navigate. We moved here because of Old Colorado City and the options for outdoor activity. Take a walk or a hike while you’re here, enjoy some great food and one our favorites, local beer.

About our honeymoon

Matt and I have decided to spend our honeymoon in Costa Rica. It has been a desire of mine to get to Costa Rica and Matt really wanted to visit a destination that had a beach. We have heard nothing but spectacular things about Costa Rica. We plan on visiting a national park, traversing through some rain forests, relaxing in some hot springs and enjoying some delicious food.

Travel Tips

Matt and I are not world travelers and could really benefit from any and all travel tips. Please feel free to leave us with your advice. Especially, if you have been to Costa Rica and can recommend some destinations for us.
